Cruising Day 1

We sailed with Royal Carribean on Independence of the Seas, which is currently the largest cruise ship.

Here is a picture of our state room. The first day of the cruise felt like summer camp, or EFY. You get to your room and unpack look at your schedule and all the fun things to do. You are realizing that you are going to be spending the next week with the same people. There were people from all over the world on the ship. We commented on how easy it is to get along with everyone on a ship but for some reason we can't all get along outside of it.
The group waiting to set sail. Hip-hip-hooray! We've been waiting for this day for a year now. Unfortunatly the ship was running almost 2 hours behind schedule and we didn't actually get to see us set sail. But we were eating dinner in the dining room looking out the window for the event. So that was just as fun.

Joran (sister in law) made these cute shirts for us all to wear on day #1. These are also her adorable boys Jase-4, Kage-2, Kadin-2. Unfortunatly their little sister, Varsity, was too young to join us (4 months).
Notice our set sail drink. We had to specify all our drinks as "virgin please". However the couple next to us didn't believe that we were giving our son sips of a "virgin" drink and thought it was so funny, Then proceded to tell us how they always give their 1 yr old grandson beer... um... so FYI grandmas and grandpas if Emerson gets beer at your house that will be the last time he is there. Consider yourself warned :-)

*you see on the right hand side of this picture nearest to my head that is like a ski boat. This helps you see how huge and high we are!
